Codebooks Direct was founded in October 2018 by engineers with hands-on experience in the industries that rely on codes, standards, and technical references. As we approach our eighth year, that practical background continues to shape how we build the store.
Over the years, thousands of customers—from government agencies and engineering firms to inspectors and students—have turned to us for the codes and technical references their work depends on. Each customer comes to us with a different project or responsibility, but the need is the same: clear access to the right publication at the right time.
Built from industry experience
We understand that finding the right publication is about more than locating a title. The edition, format, publisher, and the needs of your project all matter. Our goal is to make that process clearer by bringing technical references together in an online storefront that is easy to search and browse.
We organize the catalog around the ways people actually look for these resources: by search, state, trade, code type, and publisher. Whether you know exactly what you need or are starting with a broader question, we want to help you get to the right reference quickly.
Here to help
