2020 NFPA 70 National Electrical Code (NEC) Self-Adhesive Index Tabs

NFPA 70 NEC Self-Adhesive Index Tabs are color-coded, durable, reusable stick-on tabs designed for fast navigation through the 2020 National Electrical Code and the 2020 NEC Handbook. Compatible with both publications, the tabs let electricians, engineers, inspectors, and AHJ officials mark and quickly locate key Articles, sections, and tables without flipping through the entire code. Each tab set uses a color-coded system grouping related content areas for intuitive reference during design, installation, inspection, and plan review work.

Color-Coded Tab System

• Gold — Introduction and definitions
• Green — Grounding and bonding, health care, electric vehicles, photovoltaic systems, energy storage
• Yellow — Wiring methods
• Gray — Cords and equipment
• Orange — Hazardous locations
• Blue — Marinas, pools, and similar locations
• Red — Fire pumps, fire alarms, critical operations

Who Uses NEC Index Tabs

Used by electricians, electrical engineers, electrical contractors, inspectors, plan reviewers, and AHJ officials who reference the NEC regularly and need faster access to high-use Articles and sections in the field or office.
